Medical Cannabis
Medical cannabis refers to the use of the Cannabis sativa plant or its derivatives for therapeutic purposes under medical supervision. It contains active compounds known as cannabinoids, primarily tetra-hydro cannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), which interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system to help regulate pain, mood, appetite, inflammation, and immune response.

We provide foundation course for Medical Registration examination for pre-registered doctors and also organise Medical Symposia/ CME's for medical license renewal for existing healthcare practitioners in Mauritius and in the region.

OUR OBJECTIVES
Recent data indicates a slight decrease in road fatalities in Mauritius in 2025 compared to the previous year. As of May 30, 2025, there were 47 fatal accidents resulting in 52 deaths, down from 52 fatal accidents and 57 deaths during the same period in 2024.
Mauritius has been implementing measures to enhance road safety. The government aims to achieve a 50% reduction in road fatalities and serious injuries by 2025, as outlined in the Road Safety Strategy 2016–2025.
Despite many efforts from the government and other agencies, the persistent risks to pedestrians and motorcyclists highlight the need for continued focus on targeted safety measures, public awareness campaigns, and infrastructure improvements to protect these groups.

Given the above, the objectives of our NGO is:
1. To reduce road traffic fatalities & injuries
2. To enhance road safety laws & enforcement.
3. To empower communities through awareness & training.
4. To collect data and conduct research on road safety
